Edmonton Oilers Wool Pocket Scarf
Edmonton Oilers Wool Pocket Scarf
The Edmonton Oilers, founded in 1971, were originally named the Alberta Oilers. The team’s name changed to the Edmonton Oilers in 1973. The Oilers played their first season in 1972 as one of the twelve founding franchises of the major professional World Hockey Association (WHA), then joined the NHL in 1979 following the NHL–WHA merger. The Oilers played their first NHL game on October 10, 1979 and have won 5 Stanley Cup® Championships. The date of their first game and number of Stanley Cup® Championship victories has been used to create the thread counts (width of lines) within the weave of this original tartan design:10-10-19-79-05.
