Pittsburgh Penguins Merino Wool Pocket Scarf
Pittsburgh Penguins Merino Wool Pocket Scarf
The Pittsburgh Penguins were founded during the 1967 NHL expansion. The name “Penguins” originated from their home ice being known as the “Igloo”. The Penguins have won the Stanley Cup® Championships five times—in 1991, 1992, 2009, 2016, and 2017 and are tied with Edmonton Oilers for the most Stanley Cup® Championships among the non-Original Six teams. The Penguins played their first game on October 11, 1967. The date of the Penguins first game and number of Stanley Cup® Championship victories have been used to create the thread counts (width of lines) within the weave of this original tartan design: 10-11-19-67-05.
