Toronto Maple Leafs Lambswool Scarf Extra Long
The Toronto Maple Leafs are an iconic NHL team. Started in 1917 as the Toronto Arenas, the team is one of the NHL’s four founding teams. Renamed in 1919, the team played eight seasons as the St. Patricks. In 1927, the team was renamed once again as the Toronto Maple Leafs- an homage to a WWI fighting unit – the Maple Leaf Regiment. The Leafs played their first game on December 19, 1917, and have gone on to win 13 Stanley Cup® Championships to date. The date of their first game and number of Stanley Cup® Championship victories has been used to create the thread counts (width of lines) within the weave of this original tartan design:19-17-12-19-27-13.
Lambswool is considered the highest quality of sheep's wool on the market. Taken from a sheep at its first shearing, lambswool is incredibly soft, smooth, resilient and has superior elasticity. The unique weaving process generates air pockets that retain heat while preventing moisture. Along with being natural, breathable and hypoallergenic, our lambswool can be worn comfortably against the skin.
